Corsair Interview: Making the new Dominator GTX4 DDR3 Memory

Looks like Corsair memory has taken back the crown for the fastest memory in the world – Corsair Dominator GTX4 DDR3-2533Mhz 9-11-10-30 at 1.65v memory voltage and 1.45v CPU VTT. Each 2GB Corsair Dominator GTX4 DDR3-2533Mhz memory module was hand tested by Corsair Engineering Specialist, Michal Nowicki (bachus_anonym) and will cost US$325 at their online store.

Corsair Blog has an interview Michal Nowicki regarding this Corsair Dominator GTX4 memory modules.

Q: Can you give me some details about Dominator GTX4? What are the specs? What DRAM IC’s are we using?

A: Corsair Dominator GTX4 is the latest, greatest, and meanest creation of Corsair labs! Weren’t you impressed by Corsair introducing DDR3-2400 products to market not that long ago? Well, this time around we decided to push the limits even further and introduce overclocking enthusiasts worldwide to DDR3-2533 at CL9! The DRAM ICs used to build Dominator GTX4 are made by Powerchip Semiconductor. The timing specifications for Dominator GTX4 are 9-11-10-30, yet it still requires only 1.65V to operate in dual-channel configuration on P55 platforms! How about that — Corsair has pushed the envelope even further!
