burn-in dosnt make that much diff. Although I may be proven wrong when I get some GH in a few days.
it different in some cases i have seen ones helping ALOT and other give only 10mhz

OK well, here's an update:

While being bummed out with the memory problem, I thought I'd max out the CPU - it appears it has an "optimal" voltage... 1.58 would lock up the system in stresscpu at 3ghz (9x333), whilst 1.54 would cause it to jump out of it in a short amount of time. I finally tweakedup the vcore using the VID and % thingy, finally made it 1.56V! at this voltage, I managed to run stressCPU until around 50,000 iterations or something like that, which as you guys would know, means it's not too far from great stability. However, since it DID jump out of stressCPU, it does in fact mean it's not stable enough for day to day use... even if it's somewhat benchable... as a result, i've toned it down to 9 x 330 = 2970mhz, and it hasn't had a hiccup since.

on the memory side of things, i FINALLY fixed the async problem at 9x multi - it was a matter of changing a combination of RAM settings - the critical ones being Tref, max async latency, i think preamble helped too, not sure...

It's possible that the DFI 510-2FIX MODDED BIOS allowed this problem to be fixed, but I highly doubt it, since I could replicate the problems I was having before simply by using the same memory settings as I had previously with other BIOS's.

So now this is my current setting, and I'm going to try and make this 100% solid for 24/7 use - if it isn't already! haha, not too worried as I haven't even started burning in my gskill yet (gotta mention even despite not burning in at all yet (only used brief 3-4 pass test 5's in memtest86+ 1.60 to test if it's stable enough to go into windows), it's gained something like 4-5mhz I reckon since I put it in yesterday!

OK, here a screeny of my current setting:

my other settings are as follows (off top of my head, so I've probably missed some):
LDT 3.0, 1.3volts (something tells me 4.0 would work too, haven't tested yet, but no performance diff neway)
htt 1.7v
vcore 1.56v (1.20v * 133%)
vdimm 3.46v (can probably lower this, esp after some burnin)
lets see... (i'm a n00b again, can't remember all my settings in BIOS and stuff):
DRAM bank interleaving enabled
Increased skew
driving strength +3
data strength +1

i know if ur looking at my a64T the max async and preamble looks like **** - but it hasn't affected superpi times at all basically (on that note, on a screwed up leftover windows install from my old nf3 system, with a fair few missing drivers, and network still hooked up I managed a 28s - something tells me after reformat and so on, should break into 27's at same speed and configuration), and having no problems at such settings so I might keep it here just to be safe - of course i'll try and tweak it up later though... while playing around i think 10.0/6.0 was working ok, i'll verify that later.

edit: where on earth can i grab a64tweaker 0.60... can't seem to find a download link for it!

Thats hell nice, might try some Max async latency and RP tweaking with 9x multi today, after work. Maybe I can get that 2970Mhz I was going for a while ago, you beat me to it damn you! I managed memtest clean at that speed, but windows still cant 1M @ over 2915Mhz from memory errors??

memtest clean isn't meaning much at the moment (superpi seems to be quicker to find errors, hell, even windows memtest is sometimes more sensitive!) - i've only been using it for a few passes test 5 just to see if windows is gonna be stable enough... lowering down to 3.35v for memory seems to be OK so far - i'm back to Tref of 0648, LDT upped to 4.0, no issue as of yet - so that's a good sign... also i downed the vcore to 1.54, stressCPU doesn't seem to be complaining, and everything is nice... i HAVE A FEELING i can do 3ghz right now because CPU temp is below 40 deg full load at the moment due to nice cold morning, whereas last night i had my central heating blasting like crazy, and load temp at the vcores i was testing was reaching like 44 degrees or so @ 3ghz and 1.56v... so, yeah who knows... but still - i'd rather it be stable for all kinds of weather, so i'll stick to 2.97ghz for now, and see how low i can push the vcore...

superpi32m starting... NOW!

as a side note though, i haven't been having problems with superpi... cept it errored somewhere down the track on 32M when rams had no fan over them - turns out after multiple passes in memtest test 5, it would also show up errors... but now i got a couple 60mm's on em (very badly sitting on my hyper 6, lol...), errors all gone and i think superpi32M will pass fine...

edit: okie... ****... superpi just error'd on me... no biggie, but was expecting it go on longer - imma go up the vdimm, see if it helps, and actually i'll put my vcore back to what it was...

ok, lol... wow... i thought heck, i might as well find out how low my vcore can go ... and i'm at 1.49 atm... stresscpu @ 25,000 iterations this second as I speak... amazing really... maybe my previous vcore theory in post above was wrong... i might give 3.0ghz a shot at this vcore...

newayz, my vdimm is back up at 3.46v, hopefully when i start superpi32m in a second (just letting stresscpu go for abit longer), it will complete the entire run... imma go have breakfast now, bbl...

ehehehe okie... well, after alot of frustration - it turned out to be lack of either HTT voltage or LDT voltage, i upped them to 1.40/1.70 respectively, and ... OMG... RIGHT NOW... IT JUST ERROR'D AT LOOP 12 in superpi32M... this is so gay... right time to lower LDT down to 3.0 and give it anther shot.
