Just finished my Watercooled Conroe+R600 project

The last few months have been aiming to watercool my E6600 and HD2900XT.
The progression can be seen on atomic : Here

For the lazy clickers, the specs are:
L7XXXXX E6600 Conroe
2Gb Crucial Ballistix Tracer PC8000
Powercolour ATI HD2900XT 512 GDDR3
Gigabyte DQ6 965P Mobo
Creative Audigy2 ZS sound
Silverstone ST65F 650w Quadrail PSU
Few Sata and IDE drives.

Custom Watercooling bits...
Swiftech MCP655 Pump
Swiftech Storm G4 CPU block
Swiftech MCW60 GPU block - G80 mounting
Full sized BIX2 nonstealth with two 100cfm 120mm panaflo fans
Swiftech Microres
Clearflex 1/2"ID tubing..

Some info..
This RAM should do 1100MHz cas4 no problems
CPU validated over 4Ghz already
HD2900XT can bench 880-890 core with stock volts
GPU temp never rises above 46C
CPU temp sub-40's

does 13k+ 2006 with HD2900 on air. Haven't tried to break my PB on water yet.

I just took some pictures of it now, atomic hasn't seen yet :P

I'll be looking to get some 23k+ 05 scores too

Thanks for reading..

Cheers, it's not neat, but it works, next step is crafting a decent RAM cooler, i have two highspeen sunon 80mm's here.... and I should mount a fan to blow on the topside of the video card...

Wouldn't using lots of sunon fans make your system sound like a jet engine? As I have heard that they are very loud.

The red coolant looks sweet and you certainly placed the reseviour in an interesting position. Great work on the rig, it looks deadly.

Just wondering can you fit all the tubing, pump and radiator into the case or is it to small?

Re: Just finished my Watercooled Conroe+R600 project

The radiator had to go out the back as that's not a full tower case like a MC stacker...

The res just fits hehe, but it cools ridiculously well, in 19C ambient, CPU doesn't reach high 40's, even at 3.9GHz and GPU doesn't go over 46C at 900core :P

Well those sort of results certainly speak for themselves, fantastic work How much of a difference to temperatures did adding the two 120mm fans to the radiator make?
