OCZ Announces PC-5000 Platinum DFI nF4 Special Series
2005-04-06

Sunnyvale, CA April 6, 2005

OCZ Technology Group, a worldwide leader in innovative, ultra-high performance and high reliability memory, today announced the release of the exclusive PC-5000 EL Platinum series, a line of memory specially designed for use with DFI nF4 motherboards.

As a recognized pioneer in offering the highest possible memory frequencies, OCZ developed the PC-5000 Platinum DFI nF4 Special series with performance enthusiasts in mind. This ground-breaking member of the proprietary OCZ Platinum series is custom-built for premium operation on the highly-popular DFI nF4 motherboard series. At the extreme speed of 625MHz, the OCZ PC-5000 Platinum is still capable of achieving blistering timings of 3-4-4-10!

“The OCZ PC-5000 EL DDR Platinum DFI nF4 Special underscores the commitment of OCZ to work as closely as possible with the motherboard manufacturers to achieve the highest possible performance,” said Dr. Michael Schuette, Director of Technology Development at OCZ Technology. “Whoever provides the infrastructure to enable high memory speed will receive full support by OCZ Technology. In other words, you ask for the seemingly impossible and we will work with you to make it happen.”

“Motherboards and memory modules are always considered the two most critical factors for achieving excellent performance, but truly perfect matches can be challenging to find, and a tailor-made memory module for a specific motherboard catering to enthusiasts is unprecedented,” stated Jacky Huang, General Manager, DFI Inc. “But today the dream comes true through the collaboration from the two top notch companies in the OC industry. I believe, this perfect match will not only provide a convenient solution to the market, but also, start a new era of joint development among multiple components to achieve the ultimate performance for enthusiasts.”

Each PC-5000 EL Platinum DFI nF4 Special module is encased in a sleek, platinum mirrored copper heatspreader to effectively aid in the most efficient heat dissipation possible. All OCZ DDR products are 100% hand-tested to ensure that their quality and performance levels are held up to stringent OCZ standards, and come backed with direct, toll-free technical support and an industry-leading lifetime warranty for unparalleled peace of mind.

Due to this timely collaboration between OCZ and DFI, the OCZ PC-5000 Platinum offers performance benefits that ensure the fastest, most reliable DDR available today.

nah not testing them that I know of heh

i read Samsung TCCD or TCC5 cherry picked from the best chips to perform >300+ HTT on specifically DFI NF4 hence the higher price for all the manual leg work to get these specific chips

still... VX @ 260 2-2-2 would beat that, but obviously needs high volts. altho... since we ARE talking about DFI NF4... that's what it's all about - high volts and tight timings baby.

yeah that's what i mean...

although in my experience with TCCD, 3-4-4- doesn't provide THAT much more OC than 2.5-3-3, so who knows, maybe this OCZ stuff can do 2.5-3-3 @ 300... that'd at least bring it alot closer to VX/BH5 @ 250-260 2-2-2
