Re: Can't help myself - another Core 2 Duo thread

I would have thought that chip would have broke the 4Ghz barrier as most L***B chips usually do scale pretty well from what I have come across. Can't win them all I guess.

/me pictures Dinos sitting in the garage, glowing in a blue & neon green tinge freezing his nuts off benching

I plan to head out when its a bit colder up here near Richmond to my garage for some <10 degree ambient air benching in Winter Hopefully, like last year, we have some nights where it is ~1C

Re: Can't help myself - another Core 2 Duo thread

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I noticed people are starting to cop the 6*50 series intel processors,

are we expecting (or do we already know) these chips are slower than their 6*00 counterparts? I expect being 1333mhz fsb means they are a slighly lower bin and perhaps lower overall overclock/performance?

Personally I'm holding out to see what turns up. I'm happy with my E6600 @ 3ghz for now

dinos which swiftech waterblock is that ?

youngpro, from what i read ES samples of 6750/6850 aren't as good as the ES samples and retail E6600 cpus. Temps are hot too but might be due to being ES samples.
