Question What software can't you live without?

I couldn't bear seeing an empty forum section so.... I ask the question, what software can't you live without?

Me:-
O&O defrag Really comprehensive defragmenter for XP (64 bit available too).
FFDShow All in one codec pack, more features than you can use.
Ultramon - Great little app for managing multi monitor environments.
Opera Nice, secure Web browser with tabbed browsing.

SLi_Dog
PaintShopPro XI Photo and image editing software, handy for resizing screenies etc.
CPU-Z Diagnostic tool that shows memory timings/speeds and CPU speeds and is used to authenticate an overclock
Core Temp The most accurate way of measuring C2D temperatures, reads them directly from the chip's onboard sensor.
ATI Tool Tool for overclocking pretty much every Graphics card imaginable, even works on Nvidia despite the name.
Rivatuner Tool that allows you to overclock and tweak stuff like LOD at driver level
Memtest86+ Memory diagnostic tool and stress test
SuperPi Calculates Pi, very useful for determining performance of CPU and memory
Aquamark Graphics benchmark, no longer in development but still widely used as it is both GPU and CPU dependant.
3DMark Most famous 3d Benchmark of them all... but you knew that already
Memset Much like A64tweaker except works with Intel chipsets, essential for tightening memory timings that aren't shown in bios.
Clockgen Allows you to change FSB speed in windows, very useful for reaching the outer limits of stability.

eva2000
Systool All round tweaker and overclocker, you can do pretty much everything with it... even has benchmarks included.
SecureCRT Network security tool?
SecureFX More eva voodoo security stuff
CuteFTP Pro Industry standard FTP software.
Firefox Highly acclaimed alternative to Internet Explorer, includes tabbed browsing

T_M
Irfanview Image capture and manipulation tool, good for screenies.
VirtualDub AVI/MPEG editor.
GameArena COGS Gaming utitlity?
Nokia PC Suite Cellphone management software.
Diskeeper Advanced Defrag Tool.
MSN Messenger 7.5 Internat chat software.
Skype Voice chat over internet
DVD Shrink DVD backup and resizer.
Ventrilo Gaming voice chat app.
Motherboard Monitor v5.3.7.0 Leading temperature monitor application.
K-Lite codec pack All in one codec pack.
Nero CD/DVD copying/burning software

So what do you install and why? Lemme know and I'll add 'em to the list.

Re: What software can't you live without?

Ultramon definitely seeing as i use dual LCD monitors

Memtest86+ v1.65 + Super Pi 1.5 + Systool

SecureCRT/SecureFX/CuteFTP Pro for work

Firefox tabbed browsing simplified my work load alot seeing as I can have up to 40+ tab windows open instead of 40+ browser windows!

Re: What software can't you live without?

Hey Maff, good idea

How about compiling a list in the first post?

My top pick would be PaintShopPro.
It was taken over by Corel and I was afraid they would make it unusable like the CorelDraw series but it still has all the great features and some new ones too.
It's great at editing photos and images, in particular reducing screencapture file size while maintaining image quality.

PaintShopPro XI - Free trial version

Most people here would probably have these programs already but every system I own would also have the following.

CPU-Z
Core Temp
ATI Tool
Rivatuner
Memtest86+
SuperPi
Aquamark
3DMark
Memset
Clockgen

EDIT: XP Codec Pack is a good one too.
