Cool 512MB HIS X1800XT revisited + Intel Core 2 CPU powered

Revisiting one of my favourite video cards which I have had the pleasure to own, the 512MB HIS X1800XT PCI-E. But this time powered by Intel Core2 cpus.

Few things have changed since I last benched with my 512MB HIS X1800XT PCI-E video card, i.e. ATI Tool 0.25 beta 9 and AMD64 dual and single core cpus was used back when I first tested the video card. Now I'm using ATI Tool 0.25 beta 14 and for first time benching with Zalman VF-900CU heatsink instead with Intel Core2 cpus

Past adventures include:
System:

Not bad managed to take a few hwbot.org trophies for single 512MB Radeon X1800XT category http://www.hwbot.org/quickSearch.do?hardwareId=GPU_420

#1 ranked 3dmark2001
#1 ranked 3dmark2003

#2 ranked 3dmark06

Nice one eva. Incredible scores expecially with only 1800's

Have you done Aquamark yet?

That should take you up to number 2 in hwbot points

How about swaping out the dual core for the kentsfield to take #1 in 3DMark05/06? Or hook up the SS.

EDIT: holy crap! That's only using one card, I thought that was crossfire! Wow

Re: 512MB HIS X1800XT revisited + Intel Core 2 CPU powered

I don't get the 3DMark06?

How come the guy in 1st place is getting 700points more than you but only using an E6600@3.3Ghz and X1800XT@711/850mhz

His CPU is slower as is his graphics?

LOD can't make that much difference can it???

Re: 512MB HIS X1800XT revisited + Intel Core 2 CPU powered

Yup single 512MB HIS X1800XT

it's driver related, a beta version gives 700-900pts more... which i'll try later

I'm already at #2 on hwbot individual before these scores were added

Q6600 Kentsfield coming later

AM3 = 158,842

Great work as usual eva, but I gotta protest. You've made me drop 7 places down the rankings!

Nah just kidding dude, it'll spur me on to get some more scores together. I must confess I never could work out how to get the x1800 to clock one little bit, does that version of ATiTool work without having to use all those other apps like that overclocker thingy?

Yeah ATI Tool 0.25 beta 14 seems to work without the overclocker tool but seem to be getting lower scores.. going to investigate today when i use x1 overclocker tool instead.

Nice work Eva. I tried beta 14 with my 7950GT and it does not correctly display the Mem freq but going back to beta 16 was no problem....
