Best Overclockable 12GB (3x4GB) kit for x58a-ud7 (v2)

hi everyone, this is my first post so be nice. i am looking to upgrade to 12GB of ram and was wondering what what the best kit that isnt too much? these two kits i have got in mind but im not to sure how they overclock or go on my my motherboard so if anyone could give feedback that would be great. the two kits are:

Kingston Hyper X 12GB (3x4GB) 1600mhz - http://www.umart.com.au/pro/products...id=2&sid=73621

Corsair Dominator 12GB (3x4GB) - http://www.computeralliance.com.au/p...?qryPart=12099

i will not buy online and only buy from Brisbane shops.

im wanting buy a NH14 cooler so the ram will have be low profile or have removable HS so it can fit. I am looking at running the memory at 1866mhz for maybe 24/7 or at 2000mhz+ when benching. So out of these kits which are the best? or is there another kit out there? i was told this is the place to come to if you have memory questions so fire away!

Both of those kits are rated cas 9, 1600 Mhz, you should be able to pick up cas 8 rated sticks which will overclock better, btw all 4 GB dimms aren't the best clockers, they are too dense

i know that they wouldnt be the best due to the memory size (4GB sticks) but as you said cas 8 can overclock better so can you recommend me some then?

or if i can recommend any which is the best for the job which isnt too much (i dont want to spend $300 on a kit of ram!)

if i cant find any which ones out ofthe ones i listed would do the job?

or would a better opition be good 12GB kit + 6GB for overclocking/benching?

if i did go that route ten not both are going to be used at the same time of course.

Running more than 6 GB on the X58 platform doesn't leave you many options, six 2 GB sticks places alot of load on the cpu's memory controller and limits ram frequency, typically 1600-1750 Mhz . Current 4 GB dimms have high latency timings and don't overclock the best, as I said look for 4 GB sticks that are rated 1600 Mhz cas 8

guess ill just go with kingston set i listed (unless it has problems i dont know about) and get good 6GB kit. if i want to overclock..

ive looked all over the net and cant find a single 12GB CL8 kit....which isnt 6x2GB...i want 3x4GB!

looks like a good price and good speed but ive never used gskill before so i dont if they are any good (i have heard some people say they are good though)

something to think about...

i wish i could find a cl8 version of the kingston set though..that would be great!

it low profile
it works with my mobo
it would OC well (i know the Cl9 kit does, some guy on OCAU got 1866 on his set)
