Re: X6800 overclocking

Hmm that only thing is to double check your cpu and mch water block contact to see it is okay as well

also try 901 bios i think that's the official bios for P5W DH X6800 support

Re: X6800 overclocking

3.9GHz. I wonder if on Intel board I would get better OC result?

don't max the fsb volts it could make it unstable on P5W DH... try a setting just below the max fsb volts..
Unless I have the max V for FSB termination and MCH no boot past 3.5GHz

I have it on auto at 3.8GHz and no problems. I have tried different mix of voltages from that page in BIOS and still no luck at 4GHZ

Re: X6800 overclocking

Ok I'm in Windows at 3.91GHZ but 1.63V I will try for the last time 4GHz at the same voltage . If fails I will go back to 3.65 GHz which will be good enough
SUper PI 1m in 12.982 sec.

EDIT OK 4GHz I get Machine_Mrror_Exeption so I decided to settle for 3.85 at 1.5V and rest of voltages at AUTo. I think it will do the job for theday to day usage and it is safe too. But 4GHz still tempting...

Re: X6800 overclocking

3.85GHz at 1.5Vcore with rest of voltages at AUTo is still very good unless you are determined to break a few WR

I have not been over 1.3875Vcore as yet, Hmmm maybe I'll try your settings

Heres a copy of P5WDH settings sheet I have drawn up, do you have any changes you would like to make ???
