GT 2000 8-8-8 Command Rate Difficulty

I just got a new set of the Dominator GT 2000 C8 sticks. They seem to be pretty good, but for the life of me, I cannot get a command rate of 1T out of them. They'll pass 32M with the XMP profile (which of course loads 2T), but if I change that to 1T (and even give a bit more QPI/VTT and DRAM voltages), they still fail.

The user before had great success with this kit (over 2200 8-8-8 24 1T on each stick at 1.65V). Is it just a bad IMC?

I was able to pass 2000 7-8-7 20 2T. Is that similar stress to 2000 8-8-8 24 1T?

1T should be doable, are these the 8-8-8-24 hyper kit or the 8-9-8-24 PSC kit?

They're the Hyper kit. I passed 2000 7-7-7 20 2T at 1.68V DRAM and 1.455V VTT. I think my IMC is a dog. Going from 2T to 1T represents a pretty large latency difference (42.9 ns to 42.2 ns) and I don't think my chip can do it, even with up to 1.53V VTT.

Nah 1T doesn't put much of a strain on the IMC AFAIK, CL etc is more stressful and I thought ram itself was the limiter for 1T/2T ability.........can you try another board or CPU to experiment? 1T should be a walk in the park, DDR3-2000 8-8-8-24 1T should be doable at reasonably low Vtt and vdimm.

What about at say DDR3-1600 6-6-6-18 can you set 1T then?

1600 6-6-6 18 48 1T presents a 43.9 ns latency, which means it's much less stressful on the IMC than the other speeds. Because of this, 32M will pass at only 1.62V on the memory and 1.395V VTT.

I'm almost positive it's my IMC. I'm going to see if I can get access to a chip with a better IMC for testing.

EDIT: Or maybe I should just throw the 970 on phase for testing... choices!

Here's 1600 6-6-6 1T:

Here's 2000 7-7-7 2T:

As you can see, there's a significant latency difference.

Corsairs 2000 8-8-8-24 1,65v are back in stock on local store (finally).

Product number CMT4GX3M2A2000C8

1. I am not sure if those will be Hyper or not...
2. I want to buy 2 packs - 8gb total 4x 2gb. can Intel X48 handle this? have heard that its not possible.

It will handle it but it will be tough on the NB, the REX has been run with 8GB but think he was topping out around DDR3-1600 PL8 400-450FSB. Its in the REX thread on XS think the guys name was John something.

I wonder about the IC's in that ram, Hypers have been EOL for sometime I highly doubt it uses them, perhaps binned PSC or something else?
