Hopefully Core 1 comes to its senses after a bit more of a cpu burn in

very nice mate. Congrats

Cheers

So far it's going very well and even if 2.8 was max i would be happy, specially with such low voltage, but i feel it has more left in it yet!

Looking good there Highace, im glad I convinced you to buy the opty 170 ovedr the 4400+
You and me both!!

This board is pretty dam good to , and all though there are a few settings i'm not sure of yet the very fact it booted to 3GHz windows stable with hardly any tweaks makes me think it's going to be one heck of a setup once i get everything fine tuned!

So yeah, thanks for the board and making me get the Opty 170!

Yeah, maybe with a bit more work i can get it to behave nicely at 3GHz , still, 2.8 at low volts for 24/7 use is nothing to sneeze at, but i have not finished torturing this thing yet

Update:

Well passed 2hrs with dual sp2004 with no problems at 2800, now testing at 2850, i'll put up another screenie when i get to 2.9

Question

Is 37c to hot for my Opty 170 at stock speed / volts at idle?

Ambient temps at my desk are 24.6c and i had the 170 at 2.8 but it was nearing 39c so i thought i'd see what happened if i went to stock speed / volts and now its idling between 36-37c, just seem's a bit to warm to me? , then again comparing it to my 146 on the triple rad setup at well under 30c idle is not really a good comparison i spose!
