adata 2000x only boots 2000mhz in single channel (asus P55) up to 1800mhz dual channel
im using P7P55D mobo, adata 2000x (2000mhz) 2x2gb ram. it only boots over 1800mhz in single channel mode. both sticks run fine @ 2000mhz. im gonna get a new mobo this week. has anyone seen similar problems or aware if a solution is available. tried all bios versions.

Do you have another memory kit there ?
If yes, does it work properly with it ? If not, then you might have one ( or more ) bent pins in the CPU socket. |

unfortunately not any other ddr3 modules. that sounds a bit freaky. hope its not bent pins. im getting another mobo thursday and gonna rma this board. i was pretty careful with installing. my last mobo i bought, a striker II formula, wouldnt boot till i found a two pin temp sensor input, with both pins bent and touching. straightened them and worked fine. well fine for a 780i lol. it was like that from purchase, so who knows what they do with these asus boards before purchase. ill check when i unbuild it.

it wasnt booting @ 2000 in the far right slot in single channel, but didnt test more as it was kinda counterproductive at that point, but works fine dual channel @ 1800 in all slot combos. ive sent asus a message but havent heard back apart from asking what particular adata 2000x 2x2gb modules i have. funny cause i think there is only one type available. ill test that 4th dimm slot again tomorrow. off to bed now. im eager to get this working after seeing your awesome results with this memory.

i just tested dimm slot 4, and its the only one that doesnt boot @ 2000mhz single channel. so it is a mobo problem so confident asus will replace it. ill get an msi board to use in the meantime. thanks for helping
