I have the hard foam inserts. They are compressing gradually as i was stupid and overtightened on a Phenom II system. Perhaps the black foam insert and enclosure has an advantage because it 'springs' back?![]()
Interesting there 2-3min boot.. I never tried leaving it for that long. I crapped myself thinking the chip was dead.. Tried about a dozen times with battery out cmos clear, low temp boot, 1 stick of ram etc.. all no go. If the board has died I don't blame it.. it's been an absolute champ for 18 months.. very fast board. I'm not giving up, i'll try a 920 in it on air and see what happens. |

i see booj has himself a chip too nice.
![]() hope its alright i think the 980x 480 gtx combo would be good for some numbers ![]() just messing around cpu kayl pot gpu stock cooler with some dice to cool down the air. the cards halfway decent for 03 too i went 107k not even trying ![]() nvidia got it running better now ![]() i got riva working for everything cept' overclocking and adding volts ![]() 3d06 ![]() i'll push the chip more ![]() |

not great so far.. mine wants more and more vcore. I'll know more once i put it under ln2 in the next week or 2 and see if the extra cold helps a lot. I think this chip will be lucky to hit 6ghz.
