wPrime Benchmark 2.01

-Version 2.01 updates the hardware detection method to CPUz version 1.53 (see cpuid.com) to improve support for the latest processors.

wPrime Benchmark 2.03

We've just found that wPrime is indeed hanging on certain systems (confirmed on a fresh install of Windows Vista). It appears as though Vista would assign a different temporary directory to wPrime from CPUz (probably because wPrime was run as Admin). Consequently wPrime never found the CPUz output file and waited.

We've corrected this in version 2.03.

hard decision as each version has slightly different times unless all v1.55 submissions get invalidated on hwbot - but that would really stir up the masses in revolt i suspect hehe

Unfortunately the architecture of 1.xx couldn't be made consistent between compiles. This was solved in 2.xx (excepting 2.01 which used the 1.xx architecture with the 2.xx efficiency - i.e. very fast) however there is no way to make 2.xx perfectly consistent with 1.xx because 1.xx was never consistent.

EDIT:

Gosh I just saw the system in my sig, its been a while since I've been here, sad that the system I had then (3-4 yrs ago I'd say) would probably beat my main system now in wPrime.
