Would like to hear how these new KHX2000C8D3T1K3/3GX perform bench wise, the 3x1Gb kit are cheap and I cannot find the Perfect Storm 3x1Gb MGH-E anywhere and the 2x1Gb Corsair GTX2 are so expensive. Can these 3 kit's compare to each other as they have same IC's?
Hey mate good to see you here.

With Elpida's binning is everything. That's what sets the top end Corsair sticks apart from the rest - they are so tightly binned they outperform anything else I've seen, but they come at a real price premium. 2000 C7 / C8 sticks perform very well though, so if you can get some well binned Hypers, they will be sure to hit some excellent clocks.

With the cheaper (than the Corsair GTX's) kits too, you can be a bit more liberal with the voltage application without so much regard for their longevity if some high clocks/tight timings are required.

Hard to say how they compare, only recent and relevant results seen from GTX2 kits on XS forums but i think the early failures of Kingston kits have scared everyone off them. I still need to rma my kit of Kingston 2000C8 6GB replacement set LOL
If you haven't RMA'd through Simms yet, I can confirm that they'll replace the KHX16000D3ULT1K3/6GX with KHX2000C8D3T1K3/6GX, so hopefully the new sets make the old Elpida Hyper failures a thing of the past.

I can't test my set until the new 6 cores cpu's arrive in the next month or so.

today i recived my new set of hyperx 2000 cas8.
part number is: KHX2000C8D3T1FK3/6GX

i don't take off the heatspread but i can easily bench @ 2200 7-8-7-21 1t with only 1.78 volt...so it must be hyper.

KHX2000C8D3T1K3/6GX

Mine doesn't have F between T1K3 like yours though. Haven't had time to test due to work and family health matters but now need to decide for my i7 980X review if i should use this kit versus tried and tested 6GB Gskill Trident 2000C9 hehe
