IMO is just regular old tape, nothing themrally special about it, but i could very easily be wrong.
When you are talking about such a thin layer (and it is very thin), property differences for this application wont make a huge difference.

lmao, i'd consider using a glue.

but seriously, just buy some heatspreaders.
in fact i have a couple sets of spreaders right here that have some form of tape/adhesive already. (came with some RAM, but not attached).

I also use the AS5 epoxy with 1/3 normal AS5 so its still easy to seperate if needed

Funny that corsair still use that crappy tape. My corsairs were flexing too when i took of the heatspreaders :s
