Not too sure to be honest. VISA called me as soon as they saw the odd transaction, the lady mentioned that they were probably testing it to see if it would actually work.

I was playing around with the board last night, the north bridge seemed to be getting a bit too hot (67 degrees in bios) so I just turned it off after about 5 minutes. I had a silly little 7100 GS in it too, got a 3dm06 score of about 300 lol

Time to read up about these GT's on how much voltage they like ect...

hey mate 68 degrees is fine on the classi just dont let it go above 80 degrees mate i always put a fan on the NB heatsink, as for your GTs i wouldnt be giving them more than 1.75v, 1.8v tops.

I put the Dominator Gt's in tonight and had a play around with them. Far out, talk about Princess sticks! It's like I had to relearn how to make the whole board stable again.

Eg,

Instant BSOD!

I lowered the VTT to 1.35 and it was fine...

Stuffing around with SuperPi 32M

- 2:8 memory setting ; this is what I will be using for my run when I get it all sorted.

I tried to replicate similar settings that eva and dino had but I simply could not do it. I am worried that I wont be able to have a half decent uncore frequency because I simply cannot seem to get any stability with the VTT at 1.5V, it has to be under 1.4!

More playing around tomorrow...

Leak Test and Stability Test before powder coating, sleeving, mod and installation of indigo extreme

custom blend..
4.3ghz HT ON 2050 7-7-7-20 1N

should pass 4 hours...
not going to go for 12 ..
going for 4.4ghz now.

4.4ghz HT on 2100mhz CL7.. is the aim..
as i am a stability nut..will install the indigo at overclock instead of default to prove the stability.

Looks quite neat. I wouldn't call yourself a stability nut having only run prime for about an hour before assuming it will be stable for 4 hours then moving on up though

What do you mean by "will install the indigo at overclock instead of default to prove the stability" ?

Good luck getting to 4.4 HT on, would be a very quick machine.

stability nuts knows shortcuts
if not wont be skipping to 4.4 HT
lol
that + other short test on other programs..
it will pass 4-8 hours.
12 hours usually might need pwm tweaking.

indigo extreme.. needs a temp around 95-100C.
currently the 4.3 is at 78C with tx3
confident with 4.4 its going to touch around 82-85C very close to the throttling.
test conducted at ambient temp of 32C.
tested already if i was to disable 5 fans of the push pull confit on my rad.. i will be nearing 100C.
so will do it at 4.4ghz HT on for the indigo extreme reflow. instead of the safe default cpu speed.
reason being .. this way i can really see the difference of this TIM.

btw that blend test above tested a few custom scripts on certain fft that has large % of detecting failures.

Yeah, I know what you're like, I was saying that tongue in cheek

I was somewhat expecting you to come back with a 24 hour Custom 5.4GB Prime run and a 200x Linx Max mem run heh.

I've not heard of this TIM, should be good to see temp difference.
