i4memory.com - PCMark05 Rankings

While i4memory.com has their own Hwbot.org PCmark05 Rankings thread, that competition has been capped in terms of disk performance by disallowing software ram disks, MFT (managedflash.com) assisted SSD drives and capping XP Start up speeds.

This thread is to provide i4memory.com members with a place to have some friendly competition among i4memory.com folks without restrictions. So for this thread only:
  1. No cap on XP Start up speeds
  2. SSD with MFT assistance allowed
  3. Software Ramdisks allowed

Note: Do not submit the same results you post in this thread to hwbot.org as their rules won't allow such assistance via the above listed allowed items.

There's a dual purpose goal for this thread
  1. To provide a place for members to post their Pcmark05 results unrestricted
  2. To allow sharing of tweaks for Pcmark05 to get the most out of this benchmark

For this purpose, the rules to submit your pcmark05 results in this thread

RULES
  1. You must outline your system hardware specs fully
  2. You must list what tweaks you used
  3. You must include screenshots which also show the individual score components
  4. Futuremark Compare url is optional since FM has same cap and restrictions as Hwbot.org

Submission format:

username | [ url = link to post # ] pcmark05 score [ / url ] | cpu used | motherboard used | ram used | hdd used | compare url (optional)

Rankings:
  1. chispy | 33,680 | i7 965 @4608Mhz on SS | Asus Rampage 2 Extreme | 2x 1GB G.Skill DDR3-2000 | 4x30GB OCZ Core V2 SSD Raid0 on Adaptec 2405 Raid Controller Card 128MB Cache + MFT + Tweaks
  2. eva2000 | 32,593 | i7 920 @4431Mhz | DFI UT X58-T3EH8 | 3GB Micron D9GTR | 4x32GB OCZ Core V1 SSD Raid 0 on Highpoint 3520LF 256MB cache + MFT

eva2000 | 32,593 | i7 920 @4431Mhz | DFI UT X58-T3EH8 | 3GB Micron D9GTR | 4x32GB OCZ Core V1 SSD Raid 0 on Highpoint 3520LF 256MB cache + MFT

System specs
  • Intel Core i7 920 3836A756
  • Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme + LGA1366 Bolt Thru kit + 2x 120x38mm Scythe UltraKaze 2000rpm 87cfm fans in push/pull
  • DFI LP UT X58-T3EH8 R.A51 - 12/31 bios
  • HIS HD4870x2 CAT 8.11 Hotfix (Vista)
  • 2x1GB Cellshock PC3-14400 (Micron D9GTR) + 1GB OCZ PC3-14400 Platinum (Micron D9GTR)
  • Ram cooling: 3x 60x25mm Sunon 23.5cfm Maglev fans
  • 750GB Samsung HD753LJ
  • 4x32GB OCZ Core V1 SSD Raid 0 + Highpoint RR3520LF PCI-E Raid controller 256MB Cache + MFT
  • Pioneer DVD-RW
  • 1KW Corsair HX1000 psu
  • Vista Ultimate SP2 Beta 64bit vLite'd

Managedflash.com installed on 4x32GB OCZ Core V1 SSD raid 0 array.

This time split my 4x32GB SSD Raid 0 into 2 partitions of equal size M and N drive and then did a Pcmark05 run and got much higher startup score. Ran Pcmark05 off 2nd SSD partition on N drive and got a nice boost compared to 1st SSD partition

If you remove MFT and just run 4x32GB OCZ Core V1 SSD Raid 0 on Highpoint 3520LF PCI-E controller you don't get as much performance on disk benchmark tests so PCmark05 score is much lower see below

cbjaust | 15790Marks | AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ @ 3405MHz on air | DFI Lanparty DK 790FXB-M2RSH | Team Xtreem Dark PC8500 @ 426MHz 4-4-4-12 2T | Microsoft Ramdisk.sys v5.0.2183.1

Well it's not 30000+ but it's not bad for K8 90nm on air!
