as you guys (may) know i ordered a 144 for a build for a friend, it will run at a mild overclock (hopefully 2.2) for the whole of it's life, but i'll do some testing before i hand it over.

on the first site, it shows a 1M run @ 3095MHz.
at exactly the same CPU/RAM speeds, and very similar timings, i beat it it with a Venice.

it's all about tweaking with you because you've been competing with your Venice against eva's FX57.......I'm sure you'd be able to smash that time

one good thing out of those links I provided is that there is finally a CPU that is NOT 0530APMW...if fact it was a 0534SPMW from memory and it still reached 3.1GHz with 1.52V ...I think it was Opteron 150

Please forgive the noob question...but whats the advantage of Opteron over Venice or Sandy. Dont the SDs use the E4 stepping? Also. wont the E6 Venice be an improvement over the E4? I see the 148 Opt for $423 in Aust, which seems good value.

it's same as SD just lower end options available and they also seems to be OCing better.....they run hotter tho.....everyone seems to be getting the same stepping so we all have our fingers crossed that those Week 30 CPUs will be arriving here as well
