is that a temp or permanent ban ? you can try contacting Nightraven on VR-Zone.com forums http://forums.vr-zone.com/members/nightraven.html or at hardwarezone forums - he even posted 975 comparisons here http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/sh....php?t=2427653

Hey guys. doing some oc testing for the 975 cpus with regards to which batch is best. We all know that most extreme overclockers have good results on 3845B. So far, me included.

At just -60 to -70 degrees and 1.424V idle, i'm at 5.1ghz 175x29. super pi 1m easy. did not try more. this is 4 cores without HT on.

There's a problem with my Gigabyte x58 ud5.. it does not behave right colder than -70. wonder why. but yup so -70 is as cold as i can get it to.

for the 3911a at 1.45v and -70 degrees i was not at 5ghz at all. stuck at about 4.9xghz.

Havent tested the 3852A.

most 975s perform similiarly on air/water cooling but subzero temps is where it really shows its differences.

Well till then am trying to save my liquid nitrogen. Just some updates for the more hardcore guys.

*2 of the 3 CPUs are not mine. so dont say i ric
even his sig says

Super Golden i7 975 for sale! Batch 3845B239! PM for details

I tried 2 Q820A405 on LN2, one sucked max @ 6ghz, the other was better, pi @ 6.2 max valid at 6250. Gomeler had one also that did 6.2 3d, and 6.4 1M

no probs

Guys, what's your thoughts on hwbot team mergers ? I've contacted 2 other hwbot teams to see if they're interested in merging

1. my old forum home before i started i4memory.com = Bleedinedge.com #59 rank on hwbot 785pts and

2. overclockaholics #30 rank 2610pts which DrNip is a member of

new merged team would land at #6/7 rank within reaching distance of #4-6 rank on hwbot.org

possible new team name i4memory Bleedinedge Overclockaholics

This is course provided BE and OCaholics and you guys all are in favour of such a merger. Just putting the feeler out there to see what you guys think ?
