not a must but dual core tends to take more advantage or use NCQ more it seems

Ordered the Hitachi 80Gig delivered cost $172 for two, better than just one 160Gig @ $150

nice price there alpha, lets see you system fly. currently weighing up a pair of 36gb raptors (add 1 to my current) or grab a pair of these babies and flog off the raptor.

like to see some benchies for 2 x 80's before i make up my mind.

Eva's already got benchies for x2 of these drives at top of the page

It ended up costing $189 with shipping but being ****ed around by Computer market ATM so I might even cancell tomorrow if they dont get their act together

back to bed for me now

Actually only single and 4x raid0 benchies above never bothered with 2x as it wasn't what i planned anyway - I knew 4x of these in raid0 would rock

would be close and depends on SATA controller if it supports SATAII /SATA300 speeds i.e. on DFI NF4

But that's 160GB vs 72GB of disk space so choice pretty clear than 2x 80GB 7K80 would be better
