My RAM is almost definatly being held back by bad cpu memory controller

could be the case here but my cpu is a week23 Venice

I got some of the above mem yesty and find the jury is still out. I think i need some advice on setting these up, but realise thats a bit difficult given some of the problems associated with these NF3 UD m/bs. On this system 1T is good till about 285-290. Anyway here are a few screenies
Hi, try the 704-2bt BIOS and the yellow slots. THe -2 BIOS are more stable at high memory speeds. Also lower you multiplier and see if you can hit 300mhz as that may help for testing purposes.

Often on Venice cores the memory controller an CPU don't like to be overclokced to the max at the same time.

hmmmm that's an interesting statement. Is this exclusive to Venice cores?

Some San Diego and Winchesters are this way also. The newest ones may be better and of course the FX series are best.

i wonder if those S939 Opterons will be more reliable when it comes to this....you guys would have tested a few by now.....what do you reckon
