Nothing is impossible just never done before.

By the way I agree with pretty much all of his comments regards to the bios and stuff that he made in the thread. The two things that are the most difficult are the failure to revert to a working bios when the overclock fails. But I am quite amazed by the board can not believe what it is doing with my quad core.

OC lockup you are experiencing is actually an OCP shutdown hence its a bit harder to recover than say a normal settings crash. This poor little VRM isnt really used to very high current and you can lock up on air cooled i7 with just a little too much vcore or vtt

i also got the bios guys to remove LLC on i7 as it was causing even more dramas so F5b doesnt have LLC any more on i7 but it does on others chips

Yeah that seems to be the case I have updated bios and running my quad core and all seems peachy.
