So the 1:1 rule is BS when it comes to Intel OC'ing. Or 975chipset OC'ing?
The 1:1 rule only really came about/used when the 875P chipsets appeared, in those days you have less options, also using DDR1 but as Rodney has already stated, you do get an overflow effect that is proven to help some if not all benchies

I must say Intel OC'ing is trickier than AMD. I'm definitely enjoying it more.

hehe, now all you need is a board and chip that can do 500mhz FSB - easy.

Hmmm, O/C X1900 XTX is a little more tricky with Conroe @ relatively high FSB. Seems Intel 975X chipset is stressed a little more than on Presler Platform and same O/C on vga....

rodney, what temps was your x1900xtx getting up to?
Around 80-90 with peak O/C, apparently that still within ATI tech limits for these cards.

I just don't like the power consumption when O/C at its peak level for benching on air..

huge isn't it (and i haven't o/c'd yet)

i have the toxic version and my god the ram gets hot (burining and artifactingly hot)
