Yer I know he's using a ****e P4 but they have HT and the 'kin thing is burning @ nearly 5GHz
Never assume, you'll make an ass out of yourself...

How do you know its burning ? fyi its completely air cooled enclosed in a case...

amd fanbois have no idea... For further information on Intel's 65nm technology and its benefits, especialy in relation to Moore's Law - see this

HT is still no complete substitute for 2 proper physical cores...

depends on cpu

955XE dual core without HT 3dmark06 cpu score = 2450ish
955XE dual core with HT 3dmark06 cpu score = 2610ish

So some instances HT helps

Still Oblivion... my res setting is still only 1280x768 (unless I'm benching, I swap monitors) cause I play on my big screen. But I definatly push all the sliders to the right, except the int and ext shadows, it makes everyone look like they have beards. I have also been turning off the grass settings, make it easier to find stuff on the ground.

Hey, no.7 Pentium D & X1900XTX on the ORB and I have'nt begun to get serious with the cpu overclocks yet. Still playing with "Auto" vcore in bios.
