Note, XMS3200C2 revs which denote TCCD may not be using brain power PCBs like XMS4400C25 or XMS3200XLv1.2 so may not clock as high as TCCD with brain power PCB.

IIRC, old XMS3200XLv1.1 had TCCD without brain power PCB and only did around 200-215mhz 2-2-2-5 and 245-250mhz 2.5-3-3-7 -/+ 5-10mhz at 2.8-2.9v. The change to brain power PCB in v1.2 allowed ram to go higher in 2.5-3-3-7 from 245-250mhz to 270-275mhz.

how sure are u (or ramguy) that the twinx1024-3200c2 are tccd?

and any idea on what this will be?
link

EDIT: after a little looking around searching this forum it seems the new ones are either TCCD or UTT BH-5...what are the chanecs of this.

I found a store with TCCD ( 4.3's ) for $226 it's not bad considering i don't have to wait a couple days for delivery

oh BTW. if you had a choice between 1.5's ( utt/bh5) or 4.3's ( TCCD) which one would you get Eva ?

BTW i have DFI NF4 Ultra-D but i don't like putting 3.5v though my ram :S but i like tight timings

see here's my thoughts on those 2

XMS3200C2v4.3 is TCCD but isn't on brainpower PCB - so oc'ing won't be as high as say on XMS4400C25 or Gskill PC4400LE nor am i sure it will handle DDR400 at 2-2-2-5 as TCCD will do. If it's like XMS3200XL v1.1 which initially didn't have brain power PCB they maxed out around 245-250mhz 2.5-3-3-8. XMS3200XLv1.2 changed to brain power PCB and jumped to 270+ mhz 2.5-3-3-8.

XMS3200C2v1.5 is UTT BH5 but probably not on brainpower PCB so not sure it if it clocks as high. Also corsair won't be building it with high voltage tolerance components, so while chips may handle high vdimm, the rest of the components/pcb may not like high vdimm - so you could potentially kill the modules in the long run. I'm sure mild 200-220mhz 2-2-2-5 is fine.

Since you don't want to put high vdimm through them probably XMS3200C2v4.3 TCCD for you.

Remember though TCCD ram gets very hot even at 2.8v hotter than BH-5 @ 3.3-3.5v vdimm so cool the modules!
