Very nice!!! Good to see OCZ coming back and stealing the limelight from Corsair however i have never been a big fan of their Flex WC series. WC'ing ram is definitely not needed imo. I'm still waiting for the Blade series to come to OZ.

EDIT: Off Topic... WOW since when do OCZ make notebooks???

Do lower latency timings than before at PC3-12800 also suggest Elpida based? For example, OCZ DDR3 PC3-12800 Platinum CL6 Edition OCZ3P1600LVA6GK.

could be either as Samsung HCF0, Micron D9 and Elpida all do 7-7-7-x at DDR3-1600 especially on Core i7

Yes I understand, but I hadn't seen tri channel kits that do 6-6-6-24 at DDR3-1600 before.

For CAS6 DDR3-1600Mhz both Micron D9 and Elpida 50mm Hyper ICs can do that, Elpida does it with much less vdimm though. On Core i7 CAS6 and CAS7 headroom also depends on individual Core i7 integrated memory controller quality too. So chances it's Elpida are very high!

Thanks for your reply. Yes perhaps the price indicates Elpida as well, because the only place I have seen OCZ3P1600LVA6GK listed so far has a price of 309 Euros.

The same speed/rating memory with Blade type heatspreaders (OCZ3B1600LV6GK) is only 7 Euros more.

If I was spending that much I may as well go the whole hog and get Blade PC3-16000 - OCZ3B2000LV6GK for 381 Euros. Due 1 April? Ah, April Fools' day.

Not sure if they actually have any stock of any of these kits though, I can't understand the website properly because it is in French.
