hahaah ok, i just slapped it in a glob of white thermal compound... i left it at 2.7ghz as it was with my CABYE before taking it out... then turned back on, thought i'd just set it to 1.57vcore anyway... and i'm in windows, stressCPU maxing out at 44 degrees

THIS IS MORE LIKE IT!!! WTF WAS wrong with the temps on the CABYE?!?!?!

time to clockgen it... ahaha

haha, not bad... it hasn't even had 3 minutes of life yet... at 1.568vcore, load temps are around 45-46 degrees (YEAH THIS IS MORE LIKE IT... oh well, vapochill coming anyway...)

neway, i just realised it's still 9x multi, doens't matter tho... pumped it to 2.92ghz (2.95 jumped out within 10 seconds) stressCPU stable ... pretty good... i'll try 1.6-1.7vcore after i go grab somethign to eat... bloody hungry... i'm just letting it stressCPU at 2.92ghz for awhile, just to make sure it's not complaining

ok well, contrary to dinos' comment, this chip doesn't like voltage... pumping to 1.67v doesn't do anything, i'm at like 53 deg full load, but 2.95ghz still fails stressCPU... doh

pretty much confirms why CABGE at 1.71v is cooler than CABYE/CABNEs - maybe temp sensor on die is at a different position ?

doubt the temp sensor plays a role in it... but yeah, i DO feel that the exhaust air of my radiator is somewhat warmer than when my 144 was in there... MAYBE IHS contact truly is better on the CABGE...

if that really is the case, then boy oh boy that 144 of mine could go alot further if IHS removed and vapochilled...
