Another revision?

Wow that was quick, seems DFi are pushing these out every 4 months or so.
Funny how it coincides with a new board in their Lanparty lineup though.

I wonder what's new?

From what I have seen, new revision numbers are issued by DFI for boards coming out after either a new official BIOS release or a hardware change.

R.AD0 was as of November, same time DFI released an official BIOS & made hardware revisions for better power regulation. Coincidently, around same period the Expert was released (DFI/Oskar may have discovered something new or of great benefit when engineering the expert at the time and decided to implement it on the normal revisions of their boards.

R.AE0, as it seems, is a recent release. Coincidently, it has also come out at around the same time of another official bios release (4/11) & CFX3200-DR release/launch.

It will be interesting Dukkie if you can put an eagle eye over the board and look for any hardware changes comparible to an <R.AD0 board. If not, some detail pics may help some of us determine whether there have been any obvious hardware changes (although values of various components wont be achieveable through this method).

Out of interest, what bios came pre-installed on it and what is the max HTT you can obtain (even if a low multi is used).

n.b the above are just observations & not fact
