ehehe, eva2000 what results did the guy get on air/water?

eva i was just reviewing your threads for this cpu on water/phase,

let me get this right, your max fsb on water was 475 but on phase your up to 580mhz? thats insane... im going to put my 6700 back under phase tonight and check max fsb, it was something like 517mhz on water, does that mean 620MHZ ON PHASE LIKE EVA? hah well maybe not but a decent increase im hoping..

Pro i think i remember reading somewhere that vcore helps with FSb as well. Interesting though hey cold = higher FSB.

i quickly did some tests with the corsair sticks but need more time

SPi will be very good with those
got a P5KC >>> i think the mobo is limiting my RAM OCs though as i'm maxing out at ~850
at what voltage /timings ?

last run was 8x570FSB boot into windows... tried 32M failed at 13th iteration, used setFSB to drop to 8x568FSB, ran 32M and passed

yup colder cpu gets higher potential max FSB is... the DFI P35 that did 666+ FSB was on cascade cooling with high FSB known E0 stepping E6850 so not surprising it achieved such high FSB. Yeah lucky to grab this E6600 L709A958 2nd hand.. Mr_Sparkle didn't go past 3-3.2ghz IIRC. Before had these E6600 L709A436/8s that all did 560-605+ FSB so i thought this L709A958 would be a good buy..

)
CAS7/8/9
made no difference
~2v set in bios

i ran some benches at 800 7-7-7-20 1.9v and even tightened to 7-6-5-x and was still 32M ok

i think mobo has a limitation in RAM frequency

but i did little testing though

and win2003 server is a strange OS

i might go back to xp for familiarity

Re: E6600 L709A958 @580FSB + Asus Commando

Yeah best to use WinXP

Well i swapped out my E6600 L709A958 for my Q6600 B3 ES. Seems Commando temp sensor like P5B Deluxe is out of whack when Q6600 B3 ES is used. Stuck at -7C bios/pc probe2 and speedfan regardless of load temps. But evap idle = -43.4C and small ffts prime95 evap load temp = -36.8C
