Using the 4GHz button doesn't count you know! SB might have softened you up too much, there's more to 1366 than multi, vcore and internal PLL overvoltage lmao

Hey guys! Sorry for absence, but I was taking some time to get to know OC Orange, as I like to call it... or her.
It is like taking it slow with a girl you like, but don't give her your Mercedes, as she might crash it... Yeah, my favorite CPU is dead. My 990X.
Now, I'm afraid to give her my VW (980X) as she might crash it too.

Mann sorry to hear about that Don..

You are thinking it was motherboard related ie GA-X58A-OC? What voltages/temps/clocks were you running when it happened?

Well now we can only hope your RMA batch is a golden one

Hey Don, I got a new 990X to replace my old 980X. I've been giving it a workout with LinX. Almost
got 20 loops LinX @ 4800mhz with cpu voltage @ 1.5v, it stopped @ 16 loops.
So's anywho here's my LinX run @ 4600nhz...

I'm not sure how much the board had to do with it, but 4.5GHz HT off with memory at 1000MHz 7-7-7-20 1T and 4000MHz uncore wasn't hard at all:

I'm a bit disappointed I didn't get 100 gflops
