Hey mate good to see you here.![]()
With Elpida's binning is everything. That's what sets the top end Corsair sticks apart from the rest - they are so tightly binned they outperform anything else I've seen, but they come at a real price premium. 2000 C7 / C8 sticks perform very well though, so if you can get some well binned Hypers, they will be sure to hit some excellent clocks. With the cheaper (than the Corsair GTX's) kits too, you can be a bit more liberal with the voltage application without so much regard for their longevity if some high clocks/tight timings are required. |

If you haven't RMA'd through Simms yet, I can confirm that they'll replace the KHX16000D3ULT1K3/6GX with KHX2000C8D3T1K3/6GX, so hopefully the new sets make the old Elpida Hyper failures a thing of the past. ![]()
![]() I can't test my set until the new 6 cores cpu's arrive in the next month or so. |

woah thanks for that info Mafio as I just receive my 2nd replacement set
KHX2000C8D3T1K3/6GX Mine doesn't have F between T1K3 like yours though. Haven't had time to test due to work and family health matters but now need to decide for my i7 980X review if i should use this kit versus tried and tested 6GB Gskill Trident 2000C9 hehe |
