Hi Lamprey and welcome!

Definitely some new info! never experienced that before. OC Shutdown Free does away with the the auto power down and boot up to lock settings in on Intel boards which usually on all other X58 boards happens every time. DFI with it enabled allows small changes to by pass this Intel feature.

Must try with it disabled to see if i get more stability as well. I usually leave it enabled. For linx/prime95 stability might want to take notes at http://i4memory.com/f80/i7-920-d0-df...ability-16617/
