Any aussies want to come join me in Singapore on 7th/8th July to represent Australia in an overclocking competition put on by VR Zone?
Day 1 will be air/water only, with all hardware except cooling and mods supplied.
Day 2 will be extreme overclocking limited to DICE/Phase, then the grand finale on LN2 (not part of comp).

There seems to be an international feel about this competition, im told there's teams from Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, China, etc coming along.

Thus far i know that the setups will be Asus P5K3 Deluxe, 8800gts 320, with probably Q6700's or X6800's. Unsure of RAM, but i'm told it will be DDR3

Planning to take along a dedicated G4 CPU loop, and a dedicated MCW-60 GPU loop, and then for day 2 the Mousepot and Kayl's tube. Cant elaborate on GPU pot though

Accomodation is provided, but plane fares are not sorry.

wow sounds interesting indeed... you gonna get a chance to practice on a P5K3 DX before the event ?

I won't be able to go either but if i can get my hands on some DDR3 samples, i can whip out the P5K3 Deluxe so i can publish some results and guide for oc'ing on it. Would help you get prepared for P5K3 Deluxe

Any assistance i can get would be appreciated, as i really am going in blind on that mobo and RAM.

im thinking (if i can get enough details in the next week) on changing my current holiday plans and leaving 2 days earlier, so i can head over there and represent i4memory,

t_m does that mean were allowed to do volt mods to mobos and graphics cards? ive got quite a bit of experience with vmods on the 8800 cards, we could probably come up with some nice figures if thats allowed...

ill probably grab a p5k if i end up heading over so i get a week experience with qx6700 on it, then im not flying totally blind..

Volt modding will be restricted on Day 1 to non-destructive (pencil, clips, etc) so no soldering i'm told. But Day 2 i think is ok, and will only be 1 team from each of the countries.
