(if this is in the wrong section please move,i put it here becuase it concerns my motherboard as well as other parts of my computer) hey, So i was just browsing the net when all of sudden my Screen turned grey (yes grey, not black) and then my computer rebooted on it own and then it started up and booted fine (the FF successful boot was shown on the motherboard post code) and then after the "starting windows" screen it got to the blue "welcome" screen and then rebooted again and started up successful this time. My system is at 100% stock settings (nothing is overclocked) so i dont know what the problem could be. any ideas? specs in sig. cheers, |

| yes 100% stable as it is at stock clocks (i put it back to stock once it started happening), well so far it has not happened since but i am getting driver not responsing messages now instead.. I tryed to fix this by running kets modded drivers (got from XS) and that worked for a bit but so far it just keeps happening whenever i hit the number after 5 (i cant write it otherwise it will happen) any ideas? this is really annoying.. |

| By dinos22 No the PC doesnt restart (thank goodness) ,just the drivers crash, thats all. I have the latest nvidia drivers installed and i got them direct from the nvidia site.
yes i do have a alternative GPU to try (a 9600GT) but i have not done that yet. Ill remove the card and give it a clean (when i installed more ram the other day i saw that i was a little dusty) and then see if the issue happens again , it could be a over heating issue but that doesnt make sense becuase i can play games and run benches (3d mark, heaven etc) fine. could be drivers, could be overheating i dont know.. |

i use a 5870 card in my rig and have problems with drivers when it comes to flash, it will crash media players sometimes or green screen nvidia i never saw weird **** like that in the past. try that 9600GT and let me know. That should eliminate GPU or ATI drivers as a possible issue |
