Gigabyte EP45-UD3P memory OC results

I've been having pretty nice success with this cheap board ($149.99US) and my Geil DDR2-1160 CAS4 2x1GB kit with D9GMH chips. The kit really seems to be responding to the 1333 OC driving strength profile.

First up are DDR2-1300 results which only required 2.40V for single 32M stability!

These are the BIOS settings used.

Bumping up vMCH slightly to 1.360V from 1.320V and vDIMM from 2.40V to 2.48V enabled me to pass single 32M at 666MHz CAS5

It seems some of my other kits don't like the drive strength profiles to be set to 1333 even when going for high memory clocks. More experimentation is needed

Nice clocks there mate, same as my EP45 Extreme, maxed out at 666Mhz 5-5-5-x for Super Pi 32M stable with my Crucial Ballistix PC2-8500 Tracer and Non-Tracers and Team DDR3-13000Mhz kits!

For me drive strength and mem clock skew didn't do anything either heh

Well, the 1333 drive strength profile worked well with the Geil kit, but not so much my others. For instance, with my OCZ Flex 9200 kit, I got a lot more errors in test #5 and got errors in test #4 in Memtest; setting the drive strength profile to auto at the same VDIMM setting greatly decreased the #5 errors and eliminated the errors in test 4.

For me any drive strength settings = no system boot so left them on AUTO

I need to tweak the subtimings as Auto sets them VERY loose as you can see.

Biggest gain would be from tightening tRFC and tWTR along with tRAS
