black lead to ground (can use the chassis of your computer case or black pin on PSU molex connector)

computer needs to be on so there is power to your card to measure

Looks like everything over volts so far. 8800GT with 1.1v bios mod on load 1.152v, P5E with 2.3v vDIMM set in bios looks like 2.4v provided I measured from the correct spot.
