nice vMCH mod is must for p5b deluxe for high FSB via boot 400fsb and setfsb/clockgen higher >400FSB. Since i don't know how to volt mod i choose Asus Commando for higher vMCH and FSB headroom above 400FSB at 1067fsb strap heh

it seems many people with these mobo's have the same complaint with regards to overclocking and the vdroop...

now , why has this not been fixed by asus??
it seems from the forums that buying a new mobo will require the pencil mod straight up to get a decent fsb

My Asus contact said in the past, their boards follow intel specificed vdroop by design for fear of going against Intel. But what I did suggest to them a way of disabling the vdroop somewhat like what Intel did with their own BadAxe series. And P5K series was born with vdroop control

vdroop is design to save people from killing the cpu's i can understand why they do this...

High overclock boots into windows ok.

Start benching the Pc vdroop kicks in reboots pc..defers you from what you are doing ..half people say ok i give up the pc cant go any harder.

The more xtreme you are about your overclocking you will sort the issue out one way or the other...And continue on ...

Personally I haven't tried this yet but here are 3 threads on a vDroop mod for the P5WDH:

http://www.xtremesystems.org/Forums/...d.php?t=145544

"If you do too much you'll get negative vcore so don't try 2 put 2 much."

http://www.ocforums.com/archive/index.php/t-512028.html

http://www.benchzone.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=66&t=36

Would be interested in anyone's results. I'm getting at least .04-.05 Droop at the moment so would like to get it more stable.
