  • DDR3-1820Mhz 6-7-6-20 tRFC 88 tFAW AUTO with 1.45v CPU VTT and 1.66v

How to compare results, basically came down to max 6-6-6-20, 6-7-6-20. and 8-8-8-24 timing memory frequencies at same voltages and subtimings to differentiate between the 3 kits.
  • Only Kit #2 managed DDR3-1800Mhz 6-6-6-20 at 1.7v, while Kit #1 & #3 fell just short at DDR3-1788Mhz 6-6-6-20 at 1.7v.
  • Max 6-7-6-20 timings frequency also saw Kit #2 lead at DDR3-1900Mhz 6-7-6-20 at 1.74v, then Kit #1 at DDR3-1880mhz 6-7-6-20 at 1.74v then last Kit #3 at DDR3-1870Mhz 6-7-6-20 at 1.74v
  • Kit #2 was also stronger on max 8-8-8-24 timings with DDR3-2086Mhz 8-8-8-24 at 1.66v capped at CPU VTT 1.45v (as you see bump CPU VTT volts theres more headroom at DDR3-2110Mhz).
  • Kit #1 + #3 tied at capped 1.45v CPU VTT at DDR3-2076Mhz 8-8-8-24 but push CPU VTT to 1.475v and Kit #2 beat out #3 kit DDR3-2110Mhz vs DDR3-2100Mhz 8-8-8-24 at 1.66v.

Final part of memtest is to find a module out of Kit #1 and #3, which best matches Kit #2 performance for 3x2GB custom binned kit

How's it compare to Kingston 2000C8 kit at KHX2000C8D3T1K3/6GX - Elpida MGH-E Hyper + Core i7 980X ? I'd say at each timings Kingston 2000C8 kit has around 20-25mhz (DDR3 equivalent of 40-50mhz i.e. DDR3-1850Mhz vs DDR3-1800Mhz) extra headroom over the Super Talent 2200C8 so far.
Now that's what I'm talking about . Great results eva2000 thanks a lot!

So far so good. That was basically my main concern; how these compare to the Kingston 2000C8. Seeing they are only behind by a little bit I think I should have no reason to complain. But I can't help but think whether it was worth it to save $50 by going with the Super Talent over the Kingston 2000C8. Since the Super Talent hasn't shipped I'm thinking of maybe cancelling the order and going with Kingston, but may not be worth it. I can't make up my mind

First 32M run with Super Talent 2200C8 8-8-8-24 dual channel kit x 1.5

Used Kit #2's module #3 + #4 + Kit #1's module #1 in triple channel for DDR3-2058Mhz 7-7-7-20 1T at 1.66v

Man Eva2000 great results! Seems like you found your custom binned Triple Channel Super Talent 2200Mhz CL8 kit congrats

These results are now making me lean towards just keeping the Super Talent. Glad I saved the $50 these seem to be doing quite well.

PS Any comments on the serial #s on each individual module? Did the dual kits you buy have consecutive serial # modules? And the custom Triple channel you put together, what are the serial #s on those three? Just wondering if buying three with consecutive serials may mean they have similar binning and may behave similarly. I may be way off though..

no identifying serial numbers on the modules but usually when you buy sets together they should be close to each other if the manufacturer has good binning process.
