Well I'll be testing Super Talent 2200C8 today for some quick tests, so will be able to tell you how they do compared to other Elpida Hypers I have tested
Thanks eva2000 I'm really looking forward to see your results. I hope your experience alone can distinguish them between MGH-E or MNH-E hehe Good luck!

After my never ending search to figure out whether Super TalenT 2200MHz is MGH-E or MNH-E, I came across this incredibly useful thread in a foreign language (European?) here

Just do a search for 2200 and find the " 2 x 2 GiByte Super Talent DDR3-2200 8-8-8-24 (WS220UX4G8) " row. What is that I see under chips?

Just hope it's a reliable source..

Or how about this

Another person claiming Super Talent uses MGH-E. And look at his speed and timings, looks impressive! All at around stock or recommended VDIMM ( 1.65V ).

So far it seems 99% that 2200 Super Talents use MGH-E, what do you think eva2000?

I'm trying to decide if I want to get one of the "proper" 6GB DDR2-2000 C8 kits, or get a 4GB 2200 C8 kit and one additional 2GB 2200 C8 stick. Or should I just say "heck with it" and get one of those 2000 C7 kits since that's probably a rare opportunity...

See that's the thing GenAn, I think they are essentially all the same kits in terms of IC, but tested to different speeds and timings ( probably has to do with binning of the ICs ). So if the 2200MHz kit is using MGH-E and tested to 8-8-8-24 latency I'd say those are highly binned ICs and most likely capable of CL7 at 2000MHz.

If you take a look at one of those links I posted earlier, you'll see in the guy's screenshots in CPU-Z that there is a XMP Profile for the Super Talent 2200MHz for 2000MHz with 7-8-7-21 timing.

So I guess you can either buy a dual kit and a single, or you can go on ebay and buy three singles. Or just email one of those ewiz ebay accounts, they'll set up a lot auction of 3 for you for $270. Amazing deal if you ask me.

P.S. Make sure to use Bing Cashback for Buy It Now items on ebay and get 8% back! If you don't know how to use it ask me, it's simple.
