| Administrator | XS forums has a very long thread with results for this low profile 30nm 1.35v rated memory from Samsung. While rated for DDR3-1600Mhz 11-11-11-28 at dual voltages 1.35v and 1.50v, it overclocks very well depending on platform into the 2133-2800mhz regions (higher on Z77 vs Z68). I purchased my kits from bhphoto.com who deliver to Australia without problems - seems a bit cheaper priced now too at US$48 per 2x4GB pair http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...4_GB_DDR3.html Exact model: 2x 4GB Samsung DDR3-1600 MV-3V4G3D/US If you have played with this memory share you're results |

I bought some of this memory ages ago, but being busy with work haven't had a chance to play with them but started to today and I must say I'm impressed. With 2700K and Z68 based Asus Maximus IV GeneZ, I'm pushing 2x 4GB Samsung DDR3-1600 30nm memory to 2133mhz 10-10-10-24 1T at 1.35v for in windows benching ! System used:
DDR3-2133Mhz 10-10-10-24 1T at 1.35v ! |

Switched cpus from 2700K Sandy Bridge to 3570K Ivy Bridge for higher memory divider support ![]()

I don't think the memory or Z68 Maximus IV Gene-Z board or my 3570K IMC is allowing me to hit the 2400mhz mark yet. Just updated Maximus IV Gene-Z from 3305 to 3402 bios, so re-testing again. Probably, need to really test this on Z77 board to be sure. I bought 5 pairs of Samsung Greens all 1149 batch. There is a variance in behaviour between each pair. I have 2 pairs which at low volts 1.4v onwards scale nicely at 10-10-10-24 1T all the way to 2310-2314mhz then need 11-11-11-x all the way to around 2380-2389mhz. Then I have 2 pairs that clearly at lower 1.4v volts need 10-11-10 or 11-11-11 from 2200mhz and scale to around 2349-2365mhz. I have yet to really touch secondary and tertiary timings yet, just getting a feel for primary timings and frequency headroom each pair of Samsung Greens has based on voltage/vrm adjustments alone first. edit: wow, Maximus IV Gene-Z 3402 bios really changed things for the worse, having difficulty even booting at 1866mhz regardless of timings http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread...untry=&status= ! |

Apparently they clock very well too on X79, haven't tried yet, might have to as 3402 bios flash seems to have screwed up my Maximus IV Gene-Z system.
