CAS9 ones are samsung but they are also not really good considering how much more ppl have pushed their samsung based RAM online i've only had experience with corsair stocks and they blow them away but those corsairs are rated at tighter timings CAS8 i dont know but i would not be surprised if they are the newer elpida ones .....

As far as I know 100%. They are the same cas and same model # as the 6GB except the 6GB kit is: KHX16000D3ULT1K3/6GX Where as the 3GB is: KHX16000D3ULT1K3/3GX Same model # just one says 6 and the other says 3. Oh and the 6GB kit is two sided where as the 3GB kit is one sided. |

Could of sworn earlier 3GB UL T1s were samsung hfc0 too then later elpida ? Can't find the review with ic's showing ![]() http://www.legitreviews.com/article/890/9/ review, the 3GB kit maxed 1056mhz 9-9-9-27 at 1.65v and 6GB kit maxed at 1063mhz 8-8-8-24 at 1.65v. |

That review is comparing the: cas 9 HX16000D3T1K3/3GX to the cas 8 KHX16000D3ULT1K3/6GX We need a review comparing the: cas 8 KHX16000D3ULT1K3/3GX to the cas 8 KHX16000D3ULT1K3/6GX EDIT: I just took one side off the heat spreader on my cas 8 KHX16000D3ULT1K3/3GX and they are Elpida's. I don't have a powerful enough camera lens to take a picture that has enough clarity to read. But here is what the IC says: ELPIDA JPN J1108BASE -HNX-E HYPER 09030MP2N |
