I have checked the part number on corsair web and found this http://www.corsair.com/catalogsearch...T4GX3M2A2000C8 When I compare the part number and other specs (SPD from previous screens) its certain that modules which are currently being sold here are lower grade... (or at least different grade) |

The shop is selling them like 8-8-8-24. Does not necessary means that they are selling exact part number or description. People in shops use to copy/paste the description of the product. I try to focus on this and ask at the shop... At all i think the Part number will be correct and description is bad. (PN has to be scanned before the documents are created). |

Well the Hyper models were 'CMG' and were version 2.1 (says on sticks) and have 8-8-8-24 timings @ 1.65v. If they have these modules in stock, they're old stock. If there something else, chances are they are not hypers. |

Check this http://www.corsair.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=CMG Corsair put better chips into faster models of memory (by means of higher frequency and higher CAS). And while such frequency is quaranteed they will be more expensive. |

Yeah all PSC or other loose timing IC based. Not like the Hypers of old with super tight timings. Glad I have a stash! With SB/P67 the loose timing cheap stuff seems to be going well and Hypers not so well, but since Im staying with X58 I need the tightest timings I can get at any given frequency. |

I have rechecked the stock of single shop which can deliver some better memory sticks.. So I decided to find new memory. My OCZ 1600 7-7-7-18 is quite good, but it will be impossible to get another pair to have 8gb. Sooo lets say I want Elpida MGH/MNH -E Hyper According this list http://ramlist.i4memory.com/ddr3/ I can choose: A-DATA 4GB KIT DDR3 1866MHz CL8 XPG Plus Series Ver 2.0 Corsair - no Hypers in list. no CMG on stock, surely not Elpidas Kingston - No hypers in stock. Zeppelin - After 70 years of making airships they start to make memory modules ![]() **** So only way how to get good elpida chips is to buy Adata? some years ago this was very lowcost choice, but if they have those modules is it worth it? |

Your best choice would be to look around for a used set of MGH-E Hypers. The A-Datas are 50/50 as to whether they're MNH-E or MGH-E. Overclock.net and Xtremesystems both often have a few kits for sale. You may need to dig around to find specs on the models, but the most common sticks to come up are the Corsair Dominator GT 2000 8-8-8's like I have or any of the Super Talent sticks (2000 7-7-7, 2000 8-8-8, 2133 8-8-8, 2200 8-8-8). |
