Picked up a couple of 2x2GB PC3-10600 kits from a local PC retailer (Micro Center). Normally these sticks are unbranded Elpida, but the kits I saw today didn't seem to be so looking at the serial numbering scheme. Any ideas as to what these are?

I've done a little bit of testing with these sticks. I started off pretty conservatively at DDR3-1666 9-9-9 at 1.50v and that passed HyperPi 32M 12 threads.



I thought that went well so I pushed them just a little more, 1866 9-10-9 1.60v and that passed as well.



I still have no idea about the true identity of these chips...

Are those sticks single-sided or double-sided?
Can you post a screenshot of the SPD?

The sticks are double-sided so these are 128M ICs. The SPD info is pretty sparse, the manufacturer info is blank.

Can you try 1066MHz 11-11-11 @ 1.60-1.65V and tighten down from there?

It's looking like 1066MHz is too much for these sticks without loosening the timings beyond the point of reason/diminishing returns. 11-12-11@1.70v and still they fail HyperPi 32M almost immediately.

I'd venture a guess and say it's still Elpida OEM, might be BFBG/BFSE, but I'm not sure.

Well I'm having issues pushing my Patriot Hynix CFR to 2400 so it may just be my inexperience in clocking on the X79 platform.
