crazy prices on Elpida 50mm Hyper ICs.. guess it's little supply and lots of demand + for high DDR3-1866-2133 binning alot of hand testing is needed too as it's no easy picking the higher speed binned Elpida 50nm Hyper ICs

Thanks for listing some suggestions with current pricing for me. I have also noticed the price of DDR3 dropping recently. I wasn't really going to buy expensive ram from Europe, I was just interested in the availability and pricing of new releases with enhanced timings for the speed rating. Haha I know a bit about your ram collecting habits, since my Intel quad rig ceased to operate I am now using an Athlon 64 with Corsair BH5 I purchased from your large collection quite a while ago now. I may just take the gamble you suggested on the Transcend Value RAM DDR3-1333. I wonder if they are sold in a clear pack, with no heatspreaders I could just look for D9JNM. The money saved could buy an extra graphics card. HD48xx ATI cards are capable of massive double precision crunching performance on suitable projects and ATI Stream Version 1.4 includes multi GPU support. OpenCL is under development too. I don't use my computer in short bursts for benchmarks or games but run BOINC projects constantly, so I prefer more moderate overclocking and voltage settings for CPU and memory. I'm still deciding if I should wait for a DFI UT X58-T3eH8 because I can't even find an ETA or get the DK X58-T3EH6 instead. Other than a few people overseas running with watercooling I haven't found many user reports on the DK X58-T3EH6. For the extra $100 I would prefer the UT X58-T3eH8 because it has many people recommending it and you have a lot of helpful configuration advice on this forum. I need a stable board that is suited to running 3 GPUs. |

@Eva: All I did was googled the part number for the OCZ flex PC3 15000 http://www.ldlc.be/critiques/PB00084467_1.html I've seen it from 330 Euro to 408 Euro. $400-$500+ USD for me by those numbers T-T |

| By DMZ I have a set of these. They are just rebadged cheapies, but good value for money. Especially now since they have dropped in price so much.
![]() They are happy running Prime at 1800mhz 1.6v. They are not for benchmarking, but a great choice for a 24/7 setup |

| Administrator | By BiNGE i see... definitely prices like Elpida 50mm Hyper ICs!
By DMZ as Booj said they're value parts probably some form of early Elpida/QiMonda ???? DDR3-1800Mhz CAS9 1.6v ain't bad either!
Still Transcend Value Ram DDR3-1333 looks like worth the gamble at AUD$168! Seems only Skycomp.com.au has these listed at 1-3days stock status hmmm. |
