| By eva2000 I don't know if you were asking me or GenAn about the date. I'm not even sure which one is the date but on the ram.
09250012 - this is the number on the ram kit. Is this the number you asked Eva? |

| By eva2000 Mine are 0945xxxx. I'm fairly certain this kit, or at least mine, doesn't use Elpida Hyper but instead BBSE. My reasons for thinking this are:
1) Revision Number Corsair DDR3 Rev2.x signifies that the kit uses Elpida chips. However, all of the Hyper-based Dominator GT kits are Rev2.1. This kit is Rev2.2, the same as my regular Dominator 1600 C7 modules. 2) IC shape Now that I have a kit that uses MNH-E Hypers, I compared the shapes of the ICs just by looking at them through the gaps in the heatspreaders. The chips in the GT kit do not have that distinct shape that Hypers have, the "sloped" sides. Rather, the chips just look straight/squared, again like my regular Dominators. 3) Overclocking This kit won't clock anywhere near like Elpida Hyper can. DDR3-1600 6-7-6-18 takes 1.70v+, DDR3-2000 8-8-8 isn't possible and forget about 7-8-7. |

| DDR3-1600 6-7-6-18 1T 1.70V 20x200BCLK 8x HyperPi 32M I finally got around to posting some of my tests with this kit. As I mentioned, these are NOT BASE Hyper but rather BBSE so expect the results to go accordingly. First off, the obligatory product pictures: Test Setup: Intel Core i7 920 D0 (Batch # 3946A172) Gigabyte X58A-UD3R BIOS F5 Corsair CMPSU-1000HX Thermalright Venomous X + 2x Scythe SY1225SL12H 1600RPM fans Windows 7 Ultimate x64 DDR3-1600 6-7-6-18 1T 1.70V 20x200BCLK 8x HyperPi 32M I'm going for the usual results here starting with PC3-12800 6-7-6-18 1T. Since these are fairly loosely-binned BBSE, they couldn't do those timings on stock volts so I had to up the setting in the BIOS to 1.70v which is proably more like 1.75v real. It's too bad they need so much VDIMM, otherwise this would be a nice 24/7 setting. 8x HyperPi 32M: ![]() Bandwidth: ![]() Voltage Settings: ![]() |

| DDR3-2000 8-9-8-24 2T 1.64V 20x200BCLK 8x HyperPi 32M PC3-16000 8-9-8 was pretty easy with this kit for HyperPi 32M stability. They didn't require much volts at all, only 1.64v BIOS set. VTT was at 1.495v but it's possible I could have lowered it to maybe 1.475v or even 1.45v, I just didn't test. Too lazy ![]() 8x HyperPi 32M: ![]() Bandwidth: |

| By eva2000 It's about the same price difference here, normally TR3X6G1600C7D is around $290 and CMG6GX3M3A1600C7 $310. BlackDragon24 and I got the non-GT kit at a really good price ($209).
Considering how much these usually cost, it would make more sense to buy something like the G.Skill Tridents IMO. |
