That is normal all X58 chipset based boards need EIST for turbo multiplier just different brand boards do this differently. For example Asus boards allow selecting 21x multi but behind the scenes hidden is that Asus enables EIST automatically when 21x multi is selected. While some boards like DFI need for it to be manually set.

Maybe it's a bit off-topic but it's kind of a shame that DFI has the FDD power connectors at the PCI-E slots... but it does help to get some power there, more stability indeed... now to find a way to make those cables as invisible as possible |
