Guys just remembered one thing, for my Win7 setup in bios power management I have HPET support enabled and set at 64bit. Not sure if it that is what is allowing me 21x Turbo without problems. Worth a try

It isn't Windows 7, it is the board....I never had the multi drop on my R2E.

Why is it so hard for DFI to just add a 21x multi like ont he R2E???

Probably taking DFI longer to pin point the issue as not everyone is suffering for this turbo issue (assuming the usual turbo requirements have already been implemented - EIST, PPM, Turbo enabled with power management - high performance with 100% processor min/max states set)

There are some interesting and very helpful things to solve some Win7 troubles but I will feel better when those solutions are on the first page or on a closed thread to prevent the read of all pages. What's about it @eva?

Ive always done this, and it caused the problem for me

Here is a video of the settings, and exactly what happens. It shows every bios screen w/ options selected, and also shows the multi in windows 7 fluctuating. At one point it dropped down to 1x....

wtf!
