anyone of you have tried g.skill perfect storm 2000 cas8 elpida hyper on this mobo? with me this ram don't run super-pi 32M or any stress test at default frequency and timings i think that there is some kind of incompatibility with the mobo i tried bios 428 pre-beta, 619 and 724 but nothing change thanks |

hello everyone ! Eva and cstkl1...you are just great !!!...this thread rocks !! I'm new here and new in OC-ing . I run i7 920 D0 #3930A309 , dfi x58 t3e-h8, gtx295, ocz blade 2000 cl7. My goal is :i7@4000Mhz (20x200) ddr3@2000 7-7-7-20 1T(Eva, i read your thread about dominator gt cl7 - my ocz are using same Elpida chips - so i guess oc is almost the same). But till then i get stuck with my first problem. I follow the steps that "cstkl1" wrote them here:i7 920 D0 - DFI UT X58-T3EH8 prime95/linx stability ? here is my BIOS for the moment

ok here is a table for u guys to understand take note its only possible to find ure scaling and vtt/dram ratio and vtt/vcore ration when u have a very strong confirmed base for mine after 4-5 boards my bclk 200 confirmed ![]() if u notice the downward/upward trend is to maintain the scaling if i change and confirm one voltage i need to adjust the other two to make sure it stays on that trend also sometimes u need more bios options to maintain this trend. the dfi doesnt have enough. and also it will quickly point out proc/ram/mobo/cooling limitations. the trend tends to work best at below 80C |

You're going to love this board. I have had nothing but good luck with it since I bought it. These threads on here have been more than helpful in getting my chip to 4.4GHz with fast RAM speeds. Now if Kingston could just send me a good set of RAM... ![]() ![]() |

for pwm temps read T3eH8: very high PWM temps for discussion on pwm temps and ways to reduce the temps. It's usually normal due to individual cpu and board variances. For example my W3520 runs cpu cooler than my early i7 920 c0/d0 3851s but PWM temps were higher on W3520 on DFI UT X58-T3EH8. |
