I certainly hope so, my Maximus Formula with Rampage BIOS greatly disappointed me in terms of FSB, 525MHz was the max I could get it to boot and even then it wasn't close to stable. I'm curious to see how it does with my Team 1200 D9GKX kit, though honestly those sticks behave more like my GMH stuff than my other GKX (Cellshock, Buffalo, CSX).

I am so torn between this board and a UD3P.

I really want an X48 for 24/7 efficiency, but i also want a board that can clock CPU's and ram like the UD3P. I am leaning towards this board though. I already have 2 P45's that should be good for 600+ FSB once I get hold of a CPU that can do that.

EDIT - what is a safe 24/7 NB voltage for an X48? Actually I should re-phrase that - what is the max safe 24/7 vNB for an X48?

Speaking of D9GKX, you can't get more old school than these: http://cgi.ebay.com/Buffalo-Firestix...QQcmdZViewItem
I got a kit in earlier this week from NCIX and look forward to properly cooking them with my new DK X48-T2RSB Plus

Good ole firestix. Nice one. Hope perform nicely. Any new benches on your new board or still setting it up?

I fought with removing the NB heatsink only to find I can't fit the Heat-Minator that for some reason came with the LT P35 I got off ebay. Anyway, I've tried some of the settings for 533FSB I've seen online but I keep getting errors in test #6 in memtest. I wish I had some sort of guide for setting the DRAM CLK and Driving Strenght options.

DRAM Clock/driving options and more importantly the DRAM Default skew models 0 to 7 are really just trial and error testing to figure out which give you best stability/clocks.

Default is 6/8/0/0

My Crucial Ballistix PC2-8500 D9GMHs have variations between kits and depending on mem divider and frequencies like 6/8/0/0, 1/1/4/4, 1/2/4/4, 1/1/5/5 and 1/2/5/5. All settings find via trial and error testing in memtest as well as in windows stability tests.

Did you manage to do any higher than this yet? I was hoping this board has more in it, as I max out at around 542 FSB / 650 MHz on my P5Q-Deluxe.

Also regarding the max FSB of 571, managed to push this any higher?

After looking carefully at the BIOS options, I was wondering what the effect of altering the MCH Ref values is? I know with for example the Gigabyte UD3P the MCH Ref setting is critical to get high FSB. I assumed you tried playing with them, but if you didn't perhaps it may allow it to go a little higher. It'd be nice to see 580 - 600+ out of this board, as boards like the Rampage Formula can manage to do it.

Lastly, how hot does the digital PWM get? I've heard conflicting observations about digital PWM, some asy it runs cool, others say it runs very hot. Is the cooling for it sufficient?

There are quite a few permutations that can be derived from those four settings with all their options. I thought I found a DFI PDF that had suggested settings for certain DRAM chips or FSB settings but darned if I can find it. Getting this board to recover from a bad OC is a lot harder than the LT P35 where you just held down Reset and Power for 4 seconds.
